Dr. Regan Thomas from University of Illinois, Chicago, spoke on "Enhanced Results with Local Flaps on the Face," "Steps To Improved Facial Scar Revision Surgery" and "How to Treat a Crooked Nose."
Dr. Thomas particpated in a panel Friday on head and beck reconstruction, The panel was moderated by WVAO President Gary Morin, MD, and included panelists Drs. Mark Armeni and Jeffson Chung of WVU.
WVU's Dr. Robert Stansbury spoke on "Personalized Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnea" and "Evaluation of the Sleepy Patient."
Dr. Stansbury particpated in a sleep panel discussion with Dr. Steve Coutras of WVU, moderated by Dr. Mark Armeni. Dr. Coutras also presented discussions of "Pediatric OSAS- beyond tonsillectomy" and "Hypoglossal nerve stimulation for OSAS."
Dr. Jeffson Chung of WVU discussed "Update on Oral Pharyngeal Carcinoma" and "Update on Advanced Stage Diseases in the Head and Neck."
WVU residents Dr. Adam Bender-Heine and Scott Shapiro discussed "The Optimal Selection of Costal Cartilage: How Native Shape Lends Itself to Reconstruction" and "Outcomes of Total Malleus Removal for Anterior Cholesteatoma," respectively.
Physicians had several opportunities throughout the conference to visit with our exhibitors, including lunch on Saturday.
