Our residents, Dr.s Benjamin Addicks and Alex Montague spoke on "Genetic variations in patients with CRS: A case-control study" and "Invasion in Head and Neck Cancer," respectively.
Dr, Brian Kellermeyer of WVU spoke on "Congenital Hearing Loss," "Anatomy and Physiology of the Salivary Glands," "Molecular Testing in the Evaluation of Thyroid Nodules," and "Management of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer in Adults: Review of ATA Guidelines for Differentiated Thyroid Cancer Released in 2015." He earned outstanding scores on his presentations, including one set of perfect ratings.
Dr. Stephen Perkins of Meridian Facial Plastics in Indianapolis spoke on "A Graduation of Surgical Maneuvers for Straightening the Crooked Nose," "Lengthening the Short Nose," "Comparing “Non-surgical” and Proven Surgical Facial Lifting Techniques," and "Combined Resurfacing Techniques for Maximum Single Treatment Benefit in Facial Skin Rejuvenation." He received near-perfect ratings from conference attendees.
Dr. Harold "Rick" Pillsbury, of University of North Carolina, spoke on "The Future of Hearing Rehabilitation," "Electroacoustic Cochlear Implants: Melding Hearing Aids with Electric CI Input within the Same Device," "Cochlear Implants for Single-sided Deafness," and "What Will Otolaryngology Practice Look Like Five Years from Today?" He received perfect ratings on one session and outstanding ratings on the others.
